Prospects Golod, Mack and Yetman commit to Otters
Erie, Pennsylvania – Erie Otters General Manager Dave Brown announced this evening that the team has received commitment from three prospects, Maxim Golod, Joseph Mack, and Chad Yetman, who have all agreed to Ontario Hockey League standard player agreements.
Golod, selected by Erie in the 13th round at the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, spent last season with the Markham Majors of the GTHL. The 5’10”, 148-pound forward posted 25 goals and 82 points in 49 games played. The 17-year-old hails from Concord, Ontario.
Mack was taken by the Otters 161st overall in the eighth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The 6’3”, 170-pound forward appeared in 16 games with Compuware U16 in the HPHL, chipping in nine goals and 13 points on the way to their 2017 USA Hockey National Championship victory over Shattuck St. Mary’s. The 17-year-old is a native of New Hudson, Michigan.
Erie selected Chad Yetman with their 10th round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The 17-year-old forward compiled 23 goals and 47 points with the Clarington Toros in 2016-17, finishing fourth in scoring in the ETAHL, before joining the Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL for eleven games. The Whitby, Ontario native is the younger brother of Bryce Yetman, who spent time with the Plymouth Whalers, Flint Firebirds and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds between 2013-2016.
