Preseason Report: September 20, 2023
Windsor 1, Sarnia 5 (at Pat Stapleton Arena)
- The Sting were victorious at Pat Stapleton Arena, their former home until 1998, as Zach Filak was the game’s first star with a goal and two assists
- Rookie Ryan Brown scored his third goal in as many preseason contests, tacking on an assist
- Andrew LeBlanc scored twice for Sarnia while newcomer Daylen Moses had a pair of assists
- Liam Greentree provided Windsor’s lone goal late in the first period
- Nick Surzycia and Logan Phillips combined to stop 27 of 28 for Sarnia as the Sting improve to 2-1 in preseason play

Sault Ste. Marie 5, Sudbury 3
- Jordan D’Intino, Brady Martin and Tate Vader each had a goal and an assist as the Hounds earned their first preseason win
- Devin Mauro had a goal and an assist for Sudbury while Kieron Walton finished with two helpers
- Landon Miller stopped 26 of 29 for the win
- Chippy affair saw the two clubs take a combined 56 minutes in penalties, each scoring a pair of power play goals
Barrie 8, Owen Sound 4 (in Hanover)
- 2024 NHL Draft prospect Cole Beaudoin had a goal, three assists and went 14-for-19 in the faceoff circle to earn first star honours for Barrie
- Riley Patterson and Shamar Moses both scored twice while Tai York and Josh Kavanagh both recorded three assists
- Deni Goure picked up three assists for Owen Sound while Declan Waddick and Ethan Burroughs both had a goal and a helper
- The Attack fall to 0-2-1 in the preseason
