Otters visit Attack in this week’s Friday Night Faceoff
The OHL Friday Night Faceoff spotlights the Bayshore this week as the Owen Sound Attack host the Erie Otters in a Midwest Division matchup. Fans can watch the action live and free on FloHockey’s YouTube, X, and Facebook channels, as well as the OHL’s Facebook page and the pages of both participating teams. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm. 67’s climb to top of OHL Power Rankings
The Ottawa 67’s are the new number one team in the OHL Power Rankings this week, having won 12 of their last 14 games. The 19-6-1-1 67’s come out just in front of the second-ranked Brantford Bulldogs, who take a step back following six straight weeks in the driver’s seat. Read more

Aspinall, Jiricek, Hrebik and Fetterolf named OHL Top Performers of the Month for November
The OHL identified its top performers for the past month, with Flint Firebirds forward Nathan Aspinall, Brantford Bulldogs defenceman Adam Jiricek, Barrie Colts netminder Ben Hrebik and Ottawa 67’s goaltender Ryder Fetterolf being recognized. Read more

Knights set OHL record with 20,567 teddy bears collected on Wednesday: The London Knights eclipsed the OHL record they set last season, collecting 20,567 stuffed animals following Linus Funck’s second period goal on Wednesday against the Kitchener Rangers.
Seven-foot Karmanov set for Battalion debut Thursday night: Big 7-foot tall defenceman Alexander Karmanov will make his OHL debut on Thursday night when the North Bay Battalion play host to the Sarnia Sting. Karmanov, who signed with the Troops on Nov. 26th, was originally selected by the Brantford Bulldogs in the 2025 CHL Import Draft. The blueliner who hails from Chisinau, Moldova, put up seven points (3-4–7) over 15 games with the GOHL’s Brantford Titans to begin the season.
Spirit’s Misa embarks on conditioning loan with AHL San Jose: Reigning Red Tilson Trophy winner Michael Misa is off to the American Hockey League on a conditioning loan. The Saginaw Spirit forward appeared in seven games with the San Jose Sharks, recording a goal and two assists before suffering an injury on Nov. 5th. Last season, Misa led the Canadian Hockey League with 134 points (62-72–134) over 65 games and was also the recipient of the Bobby Smith Trophy as OHL Academic Player of the Year. The former OHL Rookie of the Year helped the Spirit win a Memorial Cup title in 2024.
Firebirds’ Flache sets club wins record: Flint Firebirds head coach Paul Flache earned his 78th career win last weekend, becoming the winningest head coach in team history. Read more
Brzustewicz, Reid, Spellacy named to U.S. World Junior preliminary roster: Henry Brzustewicz (London Knights), Chase Reid (Soo Greyhounds) and AJ Spellacy (Windsor Spitfires) will attend the United States’ World Junior Selection camp starting Dec. 15th in Duluth, Minnesota. The Americans come off back-to-back gold medals at the annual tournament. Read more
Chovan, Misiak, Pobezal to attend Slovakia’s National Junior Team Selection Camp: Jan Chovan (Sudbury Wolves), Alex Misiak (Erie Otters) and Tomas Pobezal (Kingston Frontenacs) have all been invited to Slovakia’s National Junior Team Selection Camp that begins Dec. 14th and includes pre-tournament games on Dec. 21st vs. Latvia and Dec. 22nd against Czechia. Five OHL players named to Czechia’s World Junior preliminary roster: Czechia has released its preliminary roster for the 2026 World Juniors, one that includes OHL players in the Brantford Bulldogs trio of Vladimir Dravecky, Adam Jiricek and Adam Benak as well as Jakub Fibigr (Brampton Steelheads) and 2026 NHL Draft prospect Adam Novotny (Peterborough Petes). Storm’s Haponenko, Shybinskyi to represent Ukraine at IIHF U20 WJC Division I championship: Guelph Storm players Mykhailo Haponenko and Illia Shybinskyi will represent Team Ukraine at the 2026 IIHF World U20 World Championships for Division 1. The tournament will take place in Bled, Slovenia from December 7th to 13th. At the 2025 tournament, Team Ukraine scored with a 7-2 victory over Japan to clinch a gold medal, advancing to Group A for this year. Read more
Spitfires raise $1,446 for local families: The Windsor Spitfires hit the streets to support Windsor Goodfellows, raising $1,446 for local families on Nov. 27th. Spitfires traded in their sticks and skates for Goodfellows newspapers and donation cans. Stationed at busy intersections throughout the city, players volunteered their time to support the Windsor Goodfellows’ annual fundraising campaign — and their efforts paid off. Read more

67’s acquire overage forward Sam McCue: The Ottawa 67’s acquired Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Sam McCue along with a fifth round pick in 2029 from the Brantford Bulldogs on Thursday in exchange for second and third round picks in 2029. McCue, who hails from Sudbury, has recorded 16 points (10-6–16) over 25 games so far this season. He won an OHL championship as a rookie with the Peterborough Petes in 2023. Read more

Storm host Toy Drive in support of Salvation Army on Friday:Friday, December 6th is the eighth annual Toy Drive sponsored by Zehrs in support of the Salvation Army as the Storm host the Saginaw Spirit for the second time this season. Zehrs in partnership with the Guelph Storm are rewarding fans that support the Salvation Army by donating a new unwrapped toy for local families during the holiday season. Each fan who donates an unwrapped toy will receive a raffle ticket to win great prizes donated by Zehrs and the Guelph Storm. The top prize includes a commemorative hockey stick signed by the 2025/2026 team. New toys can be donated in the Community Corner at the top of section 116. Read more

Robertson named NHL’s Second Star for November: Former Kingston Frontenacs and Niagara IceDogs forward Jason Robertson produced 26 points (13-13–26) over 15 games in November, helping the Dallas Stars continue their strong start to the season. Robertson is tied for fourth in NHL scoring with 36 points (17-19–36) over 28 games in this, his sixth NHL season. The native of Arcadia, California played four seasons in the OHL from 2015-19, putting together three consecutive 40+ goal seasons.
Four of AHL’s top six rookie scorers are OHL grads: Nick Lardis (Rockford IceHogs/Brantford Bulldogs), Ilya Protas (Hershey Bears/Windsor Spitfires), Igor Chernyshov (San Jose Barracuda/Saginaw Spirit) and Quentin Musty (San Jose Barracuda/Sudbury Wolves) all find themselves within the top six of AHL rookie scoring through approximately 20 games of the 2025-26 season.
Chernyshov named AHL Rookie of the Month: Saginaw Spirit graduate Igor Chernyshov is the AHL Rookie of the Month for November, recording 16 points (10-6–16) over 13 games. The 6-foot-3, 195Ib. winger is in his first professional season after being San Jose’s second round (33rd overall) pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Chernyshov skated in 23 games with Saginaw last season, recording 55 points (19-36–55) along with six points (2-4–6) in five playoff outings.
