Brayden Gillespie Named ECAC Rookie of the Week
Brayden Gillespie (Guelph, Brampton) earned his first career shutout in a 4-0 victory over No. 8 Quinnipiac, turning aside all 31 shots he faced. The performance capped off an impressive weekend that began Friday, when he entered in third-period relief and stopped all eight shots sent his way. His steady, composed play across both games secured him ECAC Rookie of the Week honours.
Anthony Romani Records First Multi-goal Game
Anthony Romani (North Bay, Barrie) notched his first career multi-goal game on Saturday, scoring twice in Michigan State’s win over archrival and No. 1-ranked Michigan. Romani opened the scoring and added the eventual game-winner in the third.
Donovan McCoy Scores First NCAA Goal
Donovan McCoy (Peterborough, Sudbury) helped the Friars capture their third-consecutive Mayor’s Cup victory against Brown on Tuesday night. McCoy gave Providence their first lead of the game in the first period, notching his first career goal.
Oliver Peer Scores in Back-to-Back Games
Oliver Peer (Windsor, Flint) recorded back-to-back games with at least one goal for the third time this season for Bemidji State. He currently sits second in points on the Beavers with 21 (12-9–21) and leads the team in goals.
