144 OHL Players Attend 2019 NHL Training Camps

 

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League is proud to announce that 144 returning-eligible OHL players are attending NHL Training Camps this month.

Of the 144 players who received invitations to Rookie Camps, 106 advanced to Main Camp with their respective NHL clubs.

All 20 OHL member teams feature players attending NHL camps led by the London Knights with 14 trailed closely by the defending OHL champion Guelph Storm with 13.

Each of the NHL’s 31 member clubs have at least one OHL player attending camp led by the Arizona Coyotes with 12, the Los Angeles Kings with nine and the Columbus Blue Jackets and Vegas Golden Knights each with eight.

A total of 90 players invited were acquired through the NHL Draft including 2019 first round selections Thomas Harley (Mississauga, Dallas 18th overall), Philip Tomasino (Niagara/Nashville 24th overall), Connor McMichael (London/Washington 25th overall) and Ryan Suzuki (Barrie/Carolina 28th overall).

The list includes a total of 51 players invited to camps as free agents, 15 of whom have advanced to Main Camp with their respective NHL club.
