Musty and Toure back with Wolves to begin home stand
The Sudbury Wolves are off to a 3-2 start, and received some good news this week as star forward Quentin Musty and 6-foot-7 blueliner Djibril Toure will re-join the club to kick-off a four-game home stand that begins tonight against Owen Sound.
Both players recently signed three-year, entry-level contracts, with Musty having been chosen 26th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the NHL Draft this past summer, and Toure signing as an undrafted free agent with the Ottawa Senators.
Musty, who was taken by the Wolves with the first overall pick of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, has racked up 109 points (38-71–109) in his 103 OHL regular season games. The 6-foot-2, 197Ib. winger from Hamburg, NY recorded 78 of those points in 2022-23.
Toure returns to the Wolves, joining Landon McCallum, Ethan Larmand and Andre Anania as one of four overage players on the roster. He recorded 16 points (5-11–16) in 57 games during his first OHL season, signing on with the Wolves as an undrafted free agent out of training camp last September.
Sudbury hosts Owen Sound tonight before a visit from the Ottawa 67’s on Sunday.
