Monday Highlights: Wright’s OT winner fuels Frontenacs
KINGSTON 2, HAMILTON 1 – OT
Martin Chromiak set up Shane Wright (22) for a one-timer off the rush 38 seconds into overtime as the Kingston Frontenacs edged the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1, winning Monday’s contest that was rescheduled from Friday. Bulldogs newcomer Jan Mysak (1) scored his first OHL goal 3:09 into action as Hamilton held a 1-0 lead until the final three minutes of the second frame. Kingston defenceman Jake Murray (2) had help from Vitali Pinchuk and Jordan Frasca to tie things up at one with 3:48 left on the second period clock. Fronts netminder Ryan Dugas also earned an assist on Wright’s game winner, earning second star with 31 saves to his credit. Hamilton’s Marco Costantini made 28 saves for the Bulldogs in his first start since Dec. 29th as they dropped a third straight, falling to 18-20-3-1. Kingston climbs to 13-24-2-2, 10 points back of the fourth place Bulldogs in the East Division.

OSHAWA 5, OWEN SOUND 4
Philip Tomasino found Allan McShane (19) for the game winner with 7:58 left in the third period as the Oshawa Generals skated to a 5-4 win in Owen Sound. McShane broke up a 4-4 tie as Oshawa rebounded from consecutive losses with Tomasino (29, 30) earning first star honours, recording two goals and two assists. Brett Neumann (33) and Kyle MacLean (7) also scored for Oshawa in the back-and-forth affair while Zachary Paputsakis made 33 saves. Adam McMaster (14), Deni Goure (7), Igor Chibrikov (5) and Brady Lyle (12) found the back of the net for the Attack as they lost despite outshooting the Generals 37-23. Owen Sound sits tied with Erie for seventh in the Western Conference, owning a record of 20-17-3-3. Oshawa sits fourth in the Eastern Conference, eight points up on the Mississauga Steelheads with a 22-15-3-2 record.
