ROUND 1
3rd Overall – Anaheim Ducks select Beckett Sennecke of the Oshawa Generals
Beckett Sennecke of the Oshawa Generals is the first OHL player to come off the board, being chosen 3rd overall by the Anaheim Ducks. Helping his team reach the OHL Championship Series as Eastern Conference champions, the 6-foot-3 winger from Toronto, Ont. produced 68 points (27-41–68) in 63 regular season games for Oshawa, becoming the second General to be selected in the first round in consecutive years, following Calum Ritchie in 2023.
9th Overall – Calgary Flames select Zayne Parekh of the Saginaw Spirit
OHL and CHL Defenceman of the Year Zayne Parekh of the Saginaw Spirit is the next OHL player selected, hearing his name called by the Calgary Flames with the 9th overall pick. The 18-year-old Nobleton, Ontario native led all CHL defencemen in scoring with 96 points and 33 goals during the 2023-24 season. He capped off the year by winning the Memorial Cup as tournament champions. Parekh is one of only two CHL blueliners in the past 20 years to surpass 95 points in a single season.
11th Overall – San Jose Sharks select Sam Dickinson of the London Knights
OHL champion Sam Dickinson of the London Knights is the second chosen OHL blueliner, selected by the San Jose Sharks with the 11th overall pick. Dickinson’s selection extended the London Knights’ CHL record run of 56 straight years of a player chosen at the NHL Draft. Registering 18 goals, 52 assists and 70 points in 68 games played, the Toronto, Ont. native ranked fourth among all blueliners in scoring during regular season action.
13th Overall – Philadelphia Flyers select Jett Luchanko of the Guelph Storm
Selected 13th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers, Jett Luchanko of the Guelph Storm led all Storm point-getters with 74 (20-54-74) in 68 games played throughout the 2023-24 regular season. The forward from London, Ont. has proven himself dependable, emerging as Guelph’s top prospect in this year’s NHL Draft.
24th Overall – Utah selects Cole Beaudoin of the Barrie Colts
A 6-foot-2, 206lb. powerhouse, Utah selected Cole Beaudoin 24th overall. The former 10th overall pick by the Colts had a successful sophomore campaign, tallying 62 points (28-34-62) in 67 games played. His father, Eric Beaudoin, was a former player for the newly Stanley Cup-winning Panthers from 2001-02 to 2003-04.
26th Overall – Los Angeles Kings select Liam Greentree of the Windsor Spitfires
Windsor Spitfires captain Liam Greentree was selected by the Los Angeles Kings at 26th overall. Hailing from Oshawa, Ont., the left-winger finished his sophomore season with 90 points (36-54–90) over 64 games, leading all Spitfires in scoring and assists.
27th Overall – Chicago Blackhawks select Marek Vanacker of the Brantford Bulldogs
The Chicago Blackhawks selected Marek Vanacker 27th overall, adding to the OHL’s success in the first round. Emerging as a key performer for the Brantford Bulldogs this season, Vanacker put up 82 points (36-46–82) in 68 regular season contests, leading all Bulldogs in scoring.
31st Overall – Toronto Maple Leafs select Ben Danford of the Oshawa Generals
Ben Danford would be the second Oshawa General to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft behind Beckett Sennecke, being chosen 31st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Crowned an Eastern Conference champion, the 6-foot-2 blueliner registered 10 points (4-6-10) in 21 playoff games for the Generals.
32nd Overall – Edmonton Oilers select Sam O’Reilly of the London Knights
With the final selection of the First Round, the Edmonton Oilers selected London Knights forward Sam O’Reilly 32nd overall. The second Knights player to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft, O’Reilly helped guide London to a 2024 OHL Championship, tallying 12 points in 16 playoff contests. In addition, the Toronto, Ont. native had an outstanding rookie year, recording 56 points in 68 regular season contests.
ROUND 2
56th Overall – St. Louis Blues select Lukas Fischer of the Sarnia Sting
With the first pick of Day 2, the St. Louis Blues selected Lukas Fischer of the Sarnia Sting in the Second Round, 56th overall. Hailing from Brighton, Michigan, Fischer had a strong sophomore season on the blueline, registering six goals, 28 assists and 34 points in 68 regular season contests. His father, Jiri Fischer, skated six seasons on the Red Wings’ blueline and won one Stanley Cup.
57th Overall – Los Angeles Kings select Carter George of the Owen Sound Attack
The first OHL goaltender selected in the 2024 NHL Draft, the Los Angeles Kings selected Carter George of the Owen Sound Attack 57th overall. Awarded the OHL’s Top Academic High School Student of the Year Award and the OHL’s Scholastic Player of the Year Award, George proved himself reliable for the Attack, stopping a league-high 1,744 shots this past season.
62nd Overall – Calgary Flames select Jacob Battaglia of the Kingston Frontenacs
Hearing his name called 62nd overall by the Calgary Flames, Kingston Frontenacs forward Jacob Battaglia is the second OHL player to be selected to Calgary in the 2024 NHL Draft. Putting up 65 points in 67 regular season games played this season, the Mississauga, Ontario native tallied 31 goals and 34 assists.
63rd Overall – Seattle Kraken select Nathan Villeneuve of the Sudbury Wolves
The final OHL player to be selected in the Second Round, the Seattle Kraken selected Sudbury Wolves centreman Nathan Villeneuve 63rd overall. Recording 50 points (23-27-50) in 56 regular seasons contests with the Wolves, the Ottawa, Ontario native remained among top point-getters for his team, adding three points (2-1-3) in nine playoff contests.
ROUND 3
68th Overall – Anaheim Ducks select Ethan Procyszyn of the North Bay Battalion
The first OHL player to hear his name get called in the Third Round, the Anaheim Ducks selected North Bay Battalion forward Ethan Procyszyn 68th overall. Helping the Battalion reach the Eastern Conference Finals in back-to-back season, Procyszyn tallied 36 points (15-21-36) in 62 regular season contests.
72nd Overall – Chicago Blackhawks select AJ Spellacy of the Windsor Spitfires
Selected 72nd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks, Anthony (AJ) Spellacy of the Windsor Spitfires is the second Spitfire to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 195lb. forward from Westlake, Ohio was a dominant force for Windsor this past season, registering 38 points (21-17-38) in 67 regular season appearances.
74th Overall – Calgary Flames select Henry Mews of the Ottawa 67’s
With the Calgary Flames selecting an OHL player in each of the opening three rounds, Henry Mews of the Ottawa 67’s heard his name called 74th overall to the franchise. The hometown product made his mark on the blueline this past season, recording 61 points (15-46-61) in 65 regular season games played.
86th Overall – Columbus Blue Jackets select Luca Marrelli of the Oshawa Generals
Oshawa Generals forward Luca Marrelli was selected 86th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Helping his team clinch an Eastern Conference Series victory, Marrelli was a key member on the Generals blueline, tallying 57 points in 67 regular season contests, along with 13 points in 21 playoff appearances.
ROUND 4
102nd Overall – Montreal Canadiens select Owen Protz of the Brantford Bulldogs
The OHL’s first fourth round pick, the Montreal Canadiens selected Owen Protz 102nd overall. The 6-foot-2, 207lb. blueliner spent the 2023-24 season between the Bulldogs and Sudbury Wolves, registering 19 points (3-16-19) over 66 regular season contests.
104th Overall – Ottawa Senators select Luke Ellinas of the Kitchener Rangers
The OHL success continued as the the Ottawa Senators selected Luke Ellinas of the Kitchener Rangers 104th overall. The left-winger from Toronto, Ont. had a standout rookie season with the Rangers, recording 33 points (16-17-33) in 67 regular season appearances.
109th Overall – Winnipeg Jets select Kevin He of the Niagara IceDogs
The first IceDogs player on the board, Kevin He heard his name called 109th overall by the Winnipeg Jets. The second player from China to ever be drafted in the NHL Draft, He ranked second among all IceDogs skaters in points this season, registering 53 points (31-22-53) in 64 contests.
125th Overall – Vancouver Canucks select Riley Patterson of the Barrie Colts
The Vancouver Canucks selected Barrie Colts forward Riley Patterson 125th overall. Ranking second in scoring among all OHL rookies this season, the Burlington, Ontario native put up 62 points (29-33-62) in 68 regular season games played. Patterson is the second Colts skater to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft after first round selection, Cole Beaudoin.
126th Overall – Detroit Red Wings select Landon Miller of the Soo Greyhounds
The second OHL goaltender to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft, Landon Miller of the Soo Greyhounds was selected 126th overall by the Detroit Red Wings. The Barrie, Ontario native played to a 17-6-0-2 record, along with a .889 save percentage and 2.79 goals-against average.
ROUND 5
135th Overall – Utah Hockey Club selects Owen Allard of the Soo Greyhounds
After representing Team Canada at the 2024 World Juniors, the Utah Hockey Club selected Soo Greyhounds forward Owen Allard with the 135th overall pick. Helping guide the Greyhounds to a successful season, Allard registered 44 points in 55 regular season contests, along with five points in 10 playoff games. Allard demonstrates resilience after being passed in the past two NHL Drafts.
150th Overall – Calgary Flames select Luke Misa of the Brampton Steelheads
The Calgary Flames selected Luke Misa of the Brampton Steelheads 150th overall. The older brother of OHL exceptional status player Michael Misa, the Steelheads forward was a top point-producer for his team this season, recording 81 points (26-55-81) in 66 regular season appearances.
159th Overall – New York Rangers select Nathan Aspinall of the Flint Firebirds
The first Firebird to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft, the New York Rangers selected Flint Firebirds forward Nathan Aspinall 159th overall. Standing at 6-foot-7 and 189lbs., Aspinall put up 34 points (18-16-34) in 65 games played during his sophomore season.
160th Overall – Edmonton Oilers select Connor Clattenburg of the Flint Firebirds
With back-to-back Flint Firebirds being chosen in the Draft, the Edmonton Oilers selected Connor Clattenburg 160th overall. Hailing from Arnprior, Ontario, the left-winger registered 29 points (13-8-29) in 60 regular season games played between the Firebirds and the Soo greyhounds.
ROUND 6
162nd Overall – Vancouver Canucks select Anthony Romani of the North Bay Battalion
After being passed on in last year’s Draft, Anthony Romani of the North Bay Battalion has demonstrated his dominance, being selected 162nd overall by the Vancouver Canucks. Emerging as the OHL’s top goal-scorer this season, Romani tallied 58 goals, 53 assists and 111 points in 68 games played. His 111th points ranked second among all OHL point-getters this season.
163rd Overall – Chicago Blackhawks select Ty Henry of the Erie Otters
The Chicago Blackhawks selected Ty Henry of the Erie Otters 163rd overall. The first Otters skater to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft, the blueliner recorded seven assists in 54 games played during his rookie season.
164th Overall – Los Angeles Kings select Jared Woolley of the London Knights
The OHL picks continue to come through as Jared Woolley of the London Knights heard his name called 164th overall by the Los Angeles Kings. Helping the Knights hoist the J. Ross Robertson Cup as OHL champions, the 6-foot-4 blueliner registered three points (1-2-3) in 16 playoff contests during his rookie season in London.
174th Overall – Minnesota Wild select Stevie Leskovar of the Brampton Steelheads
The Minnesota Wild selected Brampton Steelheads defenceman Stevie Leskovar 174th overall. Finishing off his third OHL season, the 6-foot-3, 207lb. Cambridge, Ontario native tallied 12 points (2-10-12) in 61 games played with the Steelheads this season.
180th Overall – Vegas Golden Knights select Trent Swick of the Kitchener Rangers
Hearing his name called in the host city of the Draft, the Vegas Golden Knights selected Trent Swick of the Kitchener Rangers with the 180th overall pick. The left-winger from Thorold, Ontario had a successful season in Kitchener, registering 62 points (25-37-62) in 63 regular season contests.
181st Overall – Tampa Bay Lightning select Kaden Pitre of the Flint Firebirds
After hearing his older brother’s name called in the 2023 NHL Draft, it’s now Kaden Pitre‘s turn as he was selected 181st overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Putting up strong numbers for the Flint Firebirds this season, Pitre closed out the regular season with 30 points (10-20-30) in 35 regular season games.
187th Overall – Winnipeg Jets select Kieron Walton of the Sudbury Wolves
The Winnipeg Jets selected Sudbury Wolves forward Kieron Walton with the 187th overall pick. Excelling in his second season with Sudbury, the 6-foot-6, 210lb. left-winger tallied 43 points (18-25-43) in 65 regular season contests.
192nd Overall – Edmonton Oilers select Dalyn Wakely of the North Bay Battalion
Seeing hard work pay off, Dalyn Wakely of the North Bay Battalion heard his name called by the Edmonton Oilers with the 192nd overall pick. Helping the Battalion reach three consecutive Eastern Conference Finals, Wakely again proved himself as a top playmaker for his team this season, tallying 104 points (39-65-104) in 66 regular season contests. Building on his outstanding season, Wakely added another 23 points in 16 playoff games.
ROUND 7
196th Overall – Edmonton Oilers select William Nicholl of the London Knights
Selected in the final round of the NHL Draft, the Edmonton Oilers selected William Nicholl of the London Knights with the 196th overall selection. Contributing to London’s championship success this season, the Manotick, Ontario native recorded eight points (1-7-8) in 18 playoff contests.
202nd Overall – Seattle Kraken select Jakub Fibigr of the Brampton Steelheads
Selected 202nd overall by the Seattle Kraken, Jakub Fibigr joins the list of Steelheads players selected in this year’s Draft. The 6-foot, 171lb. blueliner registered 43 points this season, tallying seven goals and 36 assists.
216th Overall – Toronto Maple Leafs select Sam McCue of the Owen Sound Attack
The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Owen Sound Attack forward Sam McCue 216th overall. Hailing from Sudbury, Ontario, the left-winger recorded 37 points (23-14-37) in 68 regular season contests split between the Attack and the Peterborough Petes. McCue won an OHL Championship with the Petes in 2023.
219th Overall – Buffalo Sabres select Ryerson Leenders of the Brampton Steelheads
The third OHL goaltender to be selected in the 2024 NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres selected Brampton Steelheads netminder Ryerson Leenders with the 219th overall pick. Leenders played to a 24-17-4-0 record this season, along with a 3.12 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.
223rd Overall – Pittsburgh Penguins select Finn Harding of the Brampton Steelheads
The final OHL player to be chosen in the Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected Finn Harding of the Brampton Steelheads 223rd overall. The 6-foot-1 defenceman had a successful sophomore campaign, registering 34 points (10-24-34) in 68 regular season games played.
