Knights sign blueliner Henry Brzustewicz
The London Knights announced Wednesday that they’ve signed newly acquired defenceman Henry Brzustewicz to an OHL scholarship and development agreement.
Brzustewicz was acquired from the Ottawa 67’s on September 1, with three draft picks going back the other way. The 67’s selected the Washington, Michigan native with their first round (22nd overall) pick last spring.
A right-shot defender who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 200Ibs., Brzustewicz spent the 2022-23 season with the North Jersey Avalanche 16U program, recording 27 points (13-14–27) in 19 AYHL regular season games, eventually helping his team win a league championship.
The younger brother of Kitchener Rangers defenceman Hunter Brzustewicz, Henry previously played at Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep School from 2020-22. He will be eligible for the NHL Draft in 2025.
Brzustewicz will wear #2 for the Knights this season.
