IceDogs sign sixth round selection Charlie Hotles
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are pleased to announce the commitment of Charlie Hotles to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“Niagara is very happy to announce the signing of Charlie Hotles. Charlie is a big body that knows how to put the puck in the net and make his teammates better, we are very excited to see Charlie’s development as a member of the Niagara IceDogs.” Noted IceDogs General Manager, Wes Consorti.
Hotles is a 6’2, 174 Ibs centreman who hails from Markham, Ont. He was selected in the sixth round, 113th overall by the IceDogs in the most recent OHL Priority Selection after spending his U16 season with the North York Rangers AAA club in the GTHL. He registered an impressive season posting 23 goals and 36 assists for 59 points across 65 contests.
Hotles on his commitment, “It’s an absolute honour to sign with the IceDogs, It’s been my goal since I started playing hockey to play at this level. I can’t wait to get started.”
