Generals sign 2023 Import selection David Svozil
Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals organization is excited to announce the commitment of David Svozil. Drafted in the second round (73rd overall) in the 2023 CHL Import Draft, Svozil has now signed with the Generals as we approach the 2024-25 season.
“I’m so happy to have David joining the Gens for next season. He is a big D-man who is a good first pass D and will complement the core we have right now to make us stronger,” says Generals’ GM and Vice President, Roger Hunt.
The 2006-born defenceman from Prerov, Czechia, spent his 2023/24 season playing 10 games with the llves U18 Finnish League and then 35 games with the llves U20, collecting 19 points with both teams. He also played for Czechia’s national U18 team, appearing in eight games.
Svozil spent the 2022/23 season with Ilves Tampere U20 and in 23 games, he scored four goals and added three assists. He also spent time with the Czechia U17 national team where he scored three goals and seven assists over 21 games.
