- Jacob LeBlanc scored the overtime winner on a breakaway, lighting the lamp against his former team as Sarnia picked up two points in Niagara
- Tyson Doucette and Zach Filak scored other Sting goals, with Doucette picking up an assist on the game-winner
- Karsen Chartier made 30 saves to win his OHL debut in the Sting crease
- Michael Podolioukh and Mike Levin scored Niagara goals in front of 30 saves from Marcus Vandenberg who was the game’s second star

- Chicago Blackhawks prospect Martin Misiak scored the deciding goal with 6:40 left in the third period as the Otters overcame a 3-2 deficit with three unanswered goals
- Anaheim Ducks pick Carey Terrance scored twice while Spencer Sova and Pano Fimis also tallied for Erie
- Winnipeg Jets prospect Jacob Julien joined Sam O’Reilly with a goal and a helper for the Knights while Oliver Bonk had three helpers

- Sault Ste. Marie outshot Kingston 42-26 as Fronts netminder Mason Vaccari made 36 saves
