First round pick Beckett Sennecke commits to Generals
Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals organization is extremely excited to announce the commitment of Beckett Sennecke the team. Sennecke was selected eighth overall at the 2022 OHL Priority Selection on April 29th
The lone Toronto Marlboros player taken in the opening round is described as a highly-skilled and undersized forward that is very creative when he has the puck on his stick. He is a very good skater now and will only get better as he gets stronger and fills out. Sennecke plays on the wing and is currently 5’11 and 161lbs.
In the 2021-2022 season with the Toronto Marlboros, Sennecke played 45 games, scored 35 goals, and added 45 assists for 80 points. His totals were good for 1.7 points per game.
“Joining the Generals means the world to me,” says Sennecke. “They have such a great fan base and rich team history. I feel like I can contribute to further their success in the future.”
GensNation’s first opportunity to see Sennecke on the ice was this past weekend at the Oshawa Generals annual Orientation Camp. Sennecke proved to those in attendance he deserves a spot not only at main camp this summer but on the roster come fall. His weekend was highlighted by a penalty shot goal, undressing his opposing goaltender.
Sennecke will wear number 45.
