2026 OHL In The System: Philadelphia Flyers

Today, we take a closer look at the Philadelphia Flyers’ prospect pool.

 

Maksim Sokolovskii (D) – London Knights (2025-26)

Selected: 1st Round, 27th Overall (2026)

OHL Career Stats: 44 GP, 2G, 6A, 8 PTS, +10

Age: 18

Using the 27th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Philadelphia Flyers selected London Knights defenceman Maksim Sokolovskii. Standing 6-foot-8, Sokolovskii was one of the biggest players in the 2026 draft class and brings an imposing, physical presence to the blue line. In his rookie OHL season, he recorded eight points (2-6–8) and 49 penalty minutes in 44 regular-season games.

 

Porter Martone (RW) – Sarnia Sting (2022-23), Mississauga/Brampton Steelheads (2022-25)

Selected: 1st Round, 6th Overall (2025)

OHL Career Stats: 178 GP, 89G, 115A, 204 PTS, +34

Age: 19

Porter Martone finished his freshman season at Michigan State as one of just five rookies in program history to reach the 50-point mark, leading the Spartans in scoring. His 25 goals were the second-most ever by a Michigan State freshman, trailing only Rod Brind’Amour’s 27 in 1988-89. Despite missing two games while captaining Canada to a bronze medal at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, Martone finished second in the NCAA in goals per game (0.71) and fourth in points per game (1.43), earning AHCA/CCM First Team All-American honours. The former Steelheads captain also made his NHL debut with the Flyers in April, scoring a goal in each of his first two games. 

 

Jack Nesbitt (C) – Windsor Spitfires (2023-26)

Selected: 1st Round, 12th Overall (2025)

OHL Career Stats: 178 GP, 59G, 81A, 140 PTS, +6

Age: 19

In his third season with the Windsor Spitfires, Jack Nesbitt recorded 58 points (25-33–58) in 55 regular-season games. The 6-foot-4 forward is committed to the University of Michigan for the 2026-27 season.

 

Jett Luchanko (C) – Guelph Storm (2022-26), Brantford Bulldogs (2025-26)

Selected: 1st Round, 13th Overall (2024)

OHL Career Stats: 198 GP, 53G, 134A, 187 PTS, -12

Age: 19

Jett Luchanko opened the year with Philadelphia, appearing in four NHL games before returning to the OHL. He recorded 17 points (2-15–17) in 11 games with the Storm before being acquired by the Bulldogs in November. Following the move, he produced 26 points (5-21–26) in 27 games with Brantford. Internationally, Luchanko also represented Team Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, helping the club capture a bronze medal. The London, Ont., native rejoined the Flyers during the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

 

Noah Powell (RW) – Oshawa Generals (2024-25)

Selected: 5th Round, 148th Overall (2024)

Signed: Mar. 11, 2026 

OHL Career Stats: 28 GP, 9G, 13A, 22 PTS, +8

Age: 21

After beginning the season at Arizona State University, Noah Powell recorded 12 points (7-5–12) in 34 games before joining the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he produced four points (2-2–4) in 16 AHL contests.

 

Oliver Bonk (D) – London Knights (2021-25)

Selected: 1st Round, 22nd Overall (2023)

OHL Career Stats: 189 GP, 45G, 105A, 150 PTS, +87

Age: 21

In his first AHL campaign with the Phantoms, Oliver Bonk registered 19 points (6-13–19) in 44 games, leading all rookie defencemen on the team in scoring. The former Memorial Cup champion made his NHL debut with the Flyers in April and scored his first goal the same night. 

 

Denver Barkey (LW) – London Knights (2021-25)

Selected: 3rd Round, 95th Overall (2023)

OHL Career Stats: 228 GP, 89G, 169A, 258 PTS, +102

Age: 21

Splitting the season between the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Philadelphia Flyers, Denver Barkey recorded 16 points (7-9–16) in 26 AHL games before adding 17 points (5-12–17) in 43 NHL contests.

 

Zayde Wisdom (RW) – Kingston Frontenacs (2018-22)

Selected: 4th Round, 73rd Overall (2020) 

OHL Career Stats: 165 GP, 40G, 66A, 107 PTS, -35

Age: 24

In his fifth season with the organization, Zayde Wisdom appeared in a career-high 70 games for the Phantoms, recording 27 points (14-13–27). The former Kingston Frontenacs winger transitioned to centre during the season and was named an alternate captain.

 

Jackson Edward (D) – London Knights (2021-24)

Acquired: Mar. 6, 2026 

OHL Career Stats: 178 GP, 12G, 49A, 61 PTS, +50

Age: 22

Originally selected by Boston in the seventh round (200th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft, Jackson Edward has spent parts of the past two seasons with the Providence Bruins and the ECHL’s Maine Mariners. Acquired by Philadelphia in March, the 6-foot-2 defenceman appeared in seven games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, recording four points (1-3–4).

 

Brett Harrison (C/LW) – Oshawa Generals (2019-23), Windsor Spitfires (2022-23)

Acquired: Mar. 6, 2026 

OHL Career Stats: 180 GP, 82G, 85A, 167 PTS, -30

Age: 23

Originally selected by Boston in the third round (85th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft, Brett Harrison spent parts of four seasons with the Providence Bruins before being acquired by Philadelphia. The former OHL champion enjoyed a career year in 2025-26, recording 21 points (10-11–21) in 58 regular-season games split between Providence and the Phantoms.
