Guelph Storm selected as hosts of 2027 Memorial Cup presented by Kubota
The Guelph Storm will host the 107th Memorial Cup slated for May 2027, the CHL announced Thursday. The four-time OHL champion Storm last hosted the Memorial Cup back in 2002 and will be pursuing their first-ever Memorial Cup championship on home ice. Read more
Troops visit Generals in this week’s Friday Night Faceoff
Tune in for an Eastern Conference showdown in this week’s OHL Friday Night Faceoff on FloHockey as the North Bay Battalion pay a visit to the Oshawa Generals. The Troops enter action on a three-game winning streak while the young Generals were 1-0 winners in their last game against the Erie Otters. Read more

Ottawa 67’s netminder Ryder Fetterolf is the OHL Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, going 2-0 with a 1.44 goals-against average and .942 save percentage. Read more

Brooks joins Sting bench for weekend: The Sarnia Sting will feature an addition to their bench this weekend as Development Coach and former OHL head coach Jason Brooks will be on the road in Brantford and Erie. The Sting relieved Alan Letang of his head coaching duties last weekend. They embark on a Friday night matchup in Brantford with a record of 6-11-3-1.
Miller to work 1,500th game with Petes: The Peterborough Petes honoured long-time Head Trainer Brian ‘B-Man’ Miller ahead of puckdrop on Thursday. He’ll be working his 1,500th career game with the Petes when they visit the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday.
OHL Cup expands to 25 teams for 2026 showcase: The 2026 OHL Cup will take place from March 30 to April 4, 2026, and will feature 25 teams for the first time ever. The showcase of top OHL Priority Selection eligible talent will take place at Scotiabank Pond in Toronto before the Championship Final at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Read more
OHL suspends Steelheads’ Dragusica for remainder of regular season and playoffs: The OHL announced Friday that Brampton Steelheads defenceman Luke Dragusica has been suspended for the remainder of the 2025-26 regular season and playoffs as a result of actions that were assessed as a match penalty for slashing on November 14th against the Oshawa Generals. Wolves acquire rights to goaltender Paolo Frasca: The Sudbury Wolves added to their depth chart in the crease on Friday, acquiring the rights to goaltender Paolo Frasca from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a conditional 15th round pick (Niagara’s) in 2026 and conditional fifth round pick (Owen Sound’s) in 2029. Frasca owns a record of 6-4 in 13 games with the BCHL’s Victoria Grizzlies so far this season, posting a 2.27 goals-against average and .939 save percentage.
Wolves acquire blueliner Zach Wilson: The Sudbury Wolves have acquired 6-foot-6 defenceman Zach Wilson from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a 13th round pick in 2027. Wilson, 18, appeared in two games with the Spirit after they acquired him from the North Bay Battalion on October 6th. A former third round OHL Priority Selection choice, Wilson skated in 47 games for the Battalion in 2024-25, recording four points (2-2–4). Read more
Wolves sign netminder Bjorn Bronas: The Sudbury Wolves have signed 18-year-old goaltender Bjorn Bronas to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The Wolves selected Bronas in the fifth round of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. He’s played in 12 games with the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers this season, going 3-7-1 with a 4.38 goals-against average and .847 save percentage. Bronas is committed to Minnesota State University-Mankato (NCAA).
Colts sign free agent forward Tate Collins: The Barrie Colts have signed 18-year-old forward Tate Collins to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The younger brother of former OHL forward Ty Collins has produced 38 points (11-27–38) in 28 games with the OJHL’s Toronto Patriots so far this season and is committed to Union College (NCAA). Rangers, Otters host Children’s Grief Awareness Night on Friday: The Kitchener Rangers and Erie Otters host Children’s Grief Awareness Night on Friday in their respective buildings. The teams are asking fans to participate in a moment of unity ahead of puckdrop. Fans can get a sign on the main concourse and participate in the game’s pre-game ceremonies.
Spits host Pickleball Night, Teddy Bear Toss this weekend: It’s Pickleball Night at the WFCU Centre on Friday as the Windsor Spitfires play host to the Saginaw Spirit before the fur flies at the WFCU Centre on Sunday as the Spits host their annual Teddy Bear Toss against the Guelph Storm. Who will score this year’s big goal?
Storm to retire Dustin Brown’s No. 32 on Saturday: The Guelph Storm will honour Dustin Brown prior to puckdrop on Saturday when they face the Flint Firebirds at 4:07pm. Brown, a former three-time OHL Scholastic Player of the Year and pillar of the Storm franchise, went on to win a pair of Stanley Cups with the Los Angeles Kings, and remains second on the franchise’s all-time games played list with 1,296. Brown played for the Storm from 2000-03. Read more
Greyhounds to retire Jeff Carter’s No. 7 on Saturday: The Soo Greyhounds will honour a franchise cornerstone on Saturday night at GFL Memorial Gardens as Jeff Carter’s No. 7 rises to the rafters before puckdrop against the London Knights. Carter played four seasons with the Greyhounds from 2001-05, amassing 246 points (123-123–246) over 236 regular season games. Read more
Military Appreciation Night in Saginaw on Saturday: The Saginaw Spirit host Military Appreciation Night at the Dow Event Center on Saturday when they play host to the Windsor Spitfires. Salute the troops on Saturday as the Spirit look for a win on home ice. Stick around for a post-game jersey auction in support of military heroes.
Attack support Special Olympics Ontario on Saturday: The Owen Sound Attack will support Special Olympics Ontario on Saturday when the Ottawa 67’s visit the Bayshore. The Attack, Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and Special Olympics Ontario team up to raise funds and awareness for individuals with an intellectual disability. Read more
