Greyhounds’ Caeden Carlisle commits to Notre Dame

Soo Greyhounds defenceman Caeden Carlisle recently committed to the University of Notre Dame the school announced over the holidays.

The overage blueliner, who is wearing the ‘C’ for the Greyhounds this season, is in his fourth campaign, recording 12 assists in 35 games this year. Over 215 regular-season OHL contests, Carlisle has tallied 14 goals, 47 assists, and 61 points. Selected by the Greyhounds in the fifth round (84th overall) of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, the Mississauga, Ont., native has also contributed five points (1-4–5) in 20 playoff games.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s ice hockey team, representing the University of Notre Dame, competes in NCAA Division I as an associate member of the Big Ten Conference. Based in South Bend, Indiana, the program is renowned for its history and has produced NHL alumni like three-time Stanley Cup champion Jim Brown, two-time champion Bryan Rust, and 2024 King Clancy Memorial Trophy winner Anders Lee.

Carlisle will join Erie Otters’ Pano Fimis on the Fighting Irish roster next season.
