Frontenacs announce changes to training staff
Kingston, ON – The Kingston Frontenacs announced today changes within the organization’s Hockey Operations department.
Head Athletic Therapist Colby MacLean has accepted a position with the AHL’s Belleville Senators effective immediately. Colby joined the Frontenacs prior to the start of last season, with players and staff alike immediately taking to him.
“Colby was a great member of our team and we’re incredibly proud of him for taking the next step in his career as he moves down the road to Belleville to join the Senators organization.” says General Manager, Kory Cooper.
Joining the Frontenacs organization as the new Head Athletic Therapist is Kevin Kozai, who was previously the Assistant Athletic Therapist for the Belleville Senators for the last five seasons.
Cooper continues, “We are excited to welcome Kevin to the Kingston Frontenacs family. He brings an extensive level of pro experience to our club and because of this, we are confident that he will provide our players with the highest quality care.”
Also joining the Frontenacs organization is Sydney Merriam, who will be the Strength & Conditioning lead for the team. Sydney previously assisted with the Frontenacs through the Queen’s University Kinesiology program and has since graduated; transitioning into a role with the team.
The Kingston Frontenacs season begins on Sept 26th with a visit to Peterborough for a match up with the Petes. The Home Opener takes place on Friday, Sept 27th against the division rival Oshawa Generals. Game time at Slush Puppie Place is 7 PM. Tickets are available at www.kingstonfrontenacs.com.
