Frontenacs sign forward Ben Pickell
Kingston, Ontario – The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is excited to announce the signing of forward Ben Pickell to an OHL Scholarship and Development agreement following 2024 training camp.
Ben Pickell was originally drafted by the Barrie Colts in the third round of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. He has appeared in 22 OHL games scoring 3 goals and 2 assists. Ben split the 2023-24 season between the Pickering Panthers and Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL where he scored 23 goals and 31 assists for 54 points in 40 games. He added 6 goals and 11 assists in 16 playoff games with Trenton. The 5’ 9” center from Courtice, ON joined the Frontenacs as a free agent invite at camp.
“Ben brings experience and versatility to our lineup.” said General Manager, Kory Cooper. “He is a high energy player who found his scoring touch in junior last season. He will be able to impact our lineup on a nightly basis.”
Pickell registered a goal and an assist in the Frontenacs’ preseason victory over the Ottawa 67’s.
