67’s Host Generals on Rogers Sportsnet

OHL action continues on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario Friday night at 7:00 pm when the Ottawa 67’s host the Oshawa Generals in a key East Division matchup!

The 67’s (42-19-3-2) currently hold onto the East Division lead with 89 points, just three ahead of the Generals (38-17-4-6).  The 67’s can clinch the East Division title with a win tonight.  The Division winner will take second seed in the Eastern Conference Playoff Standings while the other will occupy the fourth seed.

The 67’s and Generals have the only two 50-goal scorers in the OHL so far with the Generals’ Christian Thomas, a New York Rangers prospect, leading the way with 54 goals and 94 points in 63 games.  Tyler Toffoli of the 67’s, a Los Angeles Kings prospect was the first to reach 50 goals and now has 52 sitting second in league scoring with 101 points in 66 games.

This will be the sixth contest between the two teams with the 67’s holding the 3-2 advantage in wins, with two of the games decided by shootout.
