Zack Stortini joined the Sudbury Wolves’ coaching staff for the 2019-20 season as an Assistant Coach and was named an Associate Coach for the 2021-22 season.
Prior to his coaching career, Zack played 247 regular season games in the OHL for the Sudbury Wolves between 2001 and 2005. As a Wolf he registered 55 goals and 65 assists, and most notably was the longest serving captain of the Wolves. Following his OHL career, Stortini was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Amongst his professional career, Zack played in both the NHL and AHL, playing 860 games.
Most recently, Zack was a member of the Charlotte Checkers Calder Cup championship team during the 2018-19 season. He was also a three-time nomination for the AHL’s Man of the Year Award for his contributions to his local community and charitable organizations.
