Wolves Make Moves
The Sudbury Wolves announced two more player transactions Wednesday
involving the Oshawa Generals and Mississauga Majors.
The Wolves dealt the rights to 18-year-old rearguard NICK QUINN to the
Oshawa Generals in return for future considerations. Should Quinn
report to Oshawa this season, the Wolves will receive a 2nd round draft
selection in 2011. Quinn was drafted in the second-round of the 2008
OHL Entry draft. The Toronto native played junior hockey in Orangeville
last season with the Crushers.
In another move, the Wolves acquired the rights to Mississauga Majors
goaltender ALEXANDER LAINO in return for future considerations. Laino,
18, played OHL exhibition games for the Majors last season and was
settling-in as the Majors back-up goaltender before being acquired by
the Wolves yesterday. The Sudbury native will join his new teammates
at practice today and provides added competition for the open goaltender
position with the Wolves.
