Wolves Host Whalers
WOLVES HOST WHALERS
On Friday the Wolves will kick-off their final three game stretch before the Christmas break when the Plymouth Whalers come to town for their one and only visit to the Nickel City this season. Game time is at 7:35 P.M. The Wolves will be looking to pull even in the two game series as they dropped a 6-2 contest to the Whalers back on September 29th. The Whalers attack is led by a trio of 1st round NHL Draft Picks in RICKARD RAKELL (30th Overall, Anaheim), TOM WILSON (16th Overall, Washington), and STEFAN NOESEN (21st Overall, Ottawa). RAKELL currently leads the Whalers in points this season amassing 30 points in 30 games this season. Before Friday’s matchup against the Wolves, the Whalers will travel to Sault Ste. Marie for a Wednesday night contest.
Friday’s game will be sponsored by RHP, who will be on hand with t-shirt giveaways as well as a prize for the fan of the game! Be sure to visit the RHP information booth in the lower lobby throughout the game. Stay in your seats during the second intermission for the Tim Horton’s mini game featuring youngsters from the SPHL. The Wolves will then head on the road for a pair of divisional matchups. Saturday night’s game will see the Wolves take on the Niagara IceDogs for their third of six matchups on the season. The season series is currently tied up at one game apiece. The IceDogs enter the game tied with Belleville for second place in the OHL’s Eastern Conference. Game time is 7:00 P.M.
The Wolves will then head down the road to Mississauga for a 2:00 P.M matinee contest against the Steelheads. The Steelheads will be looking to avenge their 5-3 defeat to the hands of the Wolves this past Friday as they face-off in game three of the six game season series. The season series is currently tied up at one.
