Wolves Host Colts & 67’s
The Wolves are back in town for a pair of home games this weekend before heading on the road Sunday to wrap up their second consecutive 3-in-3 weekend.
Friday night’s contest will see the Wolves take on the first place team in the OHL, the Barrie Colts, who are off to an electrifying start this season with an impressive record of 11-3-0-1 through 15 games. The Colts early season success has been in large part to the strong play of All-Star forward MARK SCHEIFELE (Winnipeg Jets, 7th Overall) and his line-mate ZACH HALL, who both sit in the top 5 in league scoring. The Colts charge is also let by promising young defenceman AARON EKBLAD, 16, who was granted exceptional status and entered the OHL last season as a 15 year old. Ekblad has 12 points in 15 league games to date.
This game will be sponsored by the CINTAS! Lucky fans will be selected to participate in an on-ice obstacle course during the intermission. There will also be some great fan giveaways throughout the game courtesy of CINTAS!
The Wolves will be back at it Saturday, November 3rd when they face-off at home against the Ottawa 67’s. The 67’s are posting 3.92 goals per game on average, which ranks them first in this category among Eastern Conference teams. They are led up front by highly-ranked 2013 Draft Eligible prospect, SEAN MONAHAN, who currently sits 8th in OHL scoring with 21 points in 13 games. The Brampton native has combined with Minnesota Wild draft pick, TYLER GRAOVAC who leads the league in goals with 14 goals in 13 league games. On the blueline the 67’s are led by Ottawa Senators 1st Round Pick, CODY CECI. CECI currently sits fourth in scoring among OHL defenseman with 15 points in 13 games.
