Wolves Attend KHL Game
The Sudbury Wolves spent their final day in Moscow by attending a KHL preseason game. The Wolves players were able to watch Red Army defeat Ugra 3-2 in a shootout. The game took place at the Red Army arena where the Wolves played last season.
The Wolves were also able to watch former Wolf Fedor Federov #81 play in the game. Fedor is the younger brother of hockey great Sergei Federov. Fedor played for the Wolves in the 2000-2001 season and scored 5 goals in one playoff game.
Fedor talked to Wolves Asst GM Ken MacKenzie during the intermission and wished everyone good luck in the Russian Tournament in Omsk.
The players flew to Omsk and landed safely. The Wolves will now prepare for their first game of the tournament tomorrow against Belarus.
