
Rick Waugh joined the Sudbury Wolves in September 2019. Rick spent over 30 years of community service in his policing career with the Greater Sudbury Police Service where he retired in August 2019 from his position as Staff Sergeant. Rick’s vast policing experience has been guided by a focused approach on the individual and he has been a strong advocate for a safer community. He has a long history of giving back in Greater Sudbury and has a strong history of involvement as a community volunteer at Camp Quality, Big Brothers and as a youth hockey coach. Rick helped found the Sudbury Playground Hockey League (SPHL) Police Cup Hockey Tournament partnering police with Greater Sudbury youth and the Sudbury Food Bank. Rick has strong integrity and his beliefs and ethics are very much aligned with the SWSE mission of helping guide our players into Professional Gentlemen of Character.
