Mike Commito joined us as Team Historian in May of 2018 and has continued to provide us professional team history write ups for the Sudbury Wolves website.
Mike is a Laurentian graduate, completing his Master of Arts in 2010 in History. From there he went to McMaster University to get his PhD in History, which he completed in 2015.
He has had a lot of experience in research and writing since his time at Laurentian. While doing his PhD he helped back at Laurentian, from being a Research Assistant to a Sessional Instructor. He has also contributed to media outlets such as VICE Media, and Northern Life where he was a columnist. In September of last year Mike released a book called ‘Hockey 365’ where he has a historical hockey moment for each day of the year.
In addition to his work for the Wolves, Mike is also a writer for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team and the Director of Applied Research and Innovation at Cambrian College.
