Kahun to Sweden!
The Sudbury Wolves would like to congratulate 18-year-old forward DOMINIK KAHUN for being named to TEAM GERMANY for the upcoming 2014 WORLD JR. CHAMPIONSHIPS in Sweden. The tournament will be held in Malmo, Sweden commencing December 26th.
This is the second consecutive year that the young forward has been named to GERMANY’s U20 team. Last year, Kahun was one of Germany’s most effective forwards and the Wolves are not surprised by his repeat selection.
“We would like to congratulate Dominik for his selection to appear on the world stage in the most prestigious hockey tournament in the world” notes Wolves’ President & GM Blaine Smith. “Dominik has been a world-class player his entire amateur career and has returned to form after an injury at the beginning of the season” adds Smith. “We know that Dominik will represent his Country, our hockey team and the City of Greater Sudbury extremely well.”
Kahun and Team Germany will open the World Jr Championship tournaments against Team Canada on Thursday, December 26th. Kahun has been playing very well of late for the Sudbury Wolves with 7 points in his last 5 games. Kahun will be hoping to continue that trend tonight when the Wolves host the Soo Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m.
