Five Wolves NHL-Rated
The Sudbury Wolves have five players rated by renowned independent Scouting Service RED LINE REPORT, in their recently-published December issue.
BRODY SILK and NICK BAPTISTE lead the way in the RLR rankings as potential top-half draft selections. DOMINIK KUBALIK, DOMINIK KAHUN and JEFF CORBETT have all moved onto the ranking sheets based on their solid play of late. All five players are entering their first year of NHL draft eligibility.
SILK, 18, is a late birthdate and provides the skill and grit combination that NHL teams are always looking for. BAPTISTE, 17, is one of the premiere power forwards in the draft and is regarded as one of the best skaters in the draft. KUBALIK, 17, provides a combination of size, speed and skill that Czech forwards are noted for.
Making their way onto the list for the first time is DOMINIK KAHUN. The skilled centreman is described as having the ‘heart and drive of a 6’4” power winger. His feet never stop moving and he sees the ice extremely well. Fast, quick, shifty and elusive in short areas. Plays with energy and passion” The 17 year old youngster was recently named to TEAM GERMANY’s roster in the World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia – at just 17 years of age.
JEFF CORBETT, 18, is a late birthdate as well and has quietly climbed-up the charts. The big 6’2” left-shot defenceman has a long reach and is an excellent skater and makes smart plays with the puck. Jeff is quickly becoming one of the Wolves’ most reliable rearguards. His skating ability and mobility is above average and he is a quiet leader on and off the ice.
