Wolves to Host Q & A with UFC’s Mitch Gagnon Friday
In addition to the Remembrance Day Ceremony and the exciting commemorative jersey Silent Auction this Friday night, the Wolves Organization is pleased to advise that Northern Ontario’s very own UFC fighter, Mitch Gagnon, will be making an appearance at the Sudbury Arena on Friday November 11th. He will be introduced during the Second Period of the game and will be doing a Q&A during the second intermission of this Friday’s game against the Erie Otters.
Gagnon, originally from Sturgeon Falls, began his mixed martial arts training here in Greater Sudbury. Gagnon had his professional MMA debut in September 2008. Four years later, after an 8-1 record, this MMA fighter decided to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Gagnon will be making his return to the Octagon for UFC 206 after a year and a half layoff due to injury.
“It’s been a long recovery process and I can’t wait to get back in the cage”, says Gagnon. “I’m looking forward to this Friday and being able to give some time to the incredible Sudbury fans that have been a massive support throughout my career.”
The Sudbury Wolves organization is entering A New Era of sports entertainment in Northern Ontario. The organization is excited to showcase all of the incredible talent produced in the North.
“It’s a wonderful that Mitch will be representing the Greater Sudbury on such a global stage. There’s one thing for sure, Northern Ontario produces some of the best athletes in the world,” said Wolves VP of Marketing & Development Andrew Dale.
