Wolves Host Colts Friday
(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return to the Den to host the Barrie Colts Friday. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm. Friday’s matchup is proudly sponsored by the Northern Hockey Academy.
The Wolves finished last weekend with four points including a 9-2 win over the London Knights at home and a 7-5 win over Oshawa Generals on the road.
The Wolves top line of Quentin Musty (SJS), Dalibor Dvorský (STL), and David Goyette (SEA) was dynamite, combining for 23 points in the two contests. Nate Krawchuk was in the crease for both games, earning his third and fourth win of the season, stopping 19 of 21 shots against London. The Barrie Colts enter this week eighth in the Eastern Conference. They are led offensively by Beau Jelsma, who’s recorded 21 points in 21 games this season. Goaltender Sam Hillebrandt has been solid for Barrie, maintaining a 0.906 save percentage on the season. The Colts feature two NHL prospects, including Eduard Šalé, a 2023 first round selection of the Seattle Kraken, and Beau Akey, a 2023 second round selection of the Edmonton Oilers.
