Wolves Complete Trade with Sting
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves announce they have traded 18-year-old defenceman Joshua Hoover to the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Sarnia’s 5th round selection in the 2024 OHL priority selection and 7th round selection in 2023.
“Josh is a tremendous young man who is getting a chance to go home,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau. “He and his family have always been first class and we wish him success in Sarnia.”
Hoover, a Sarnia native, was selected by the Wolves in the 10th round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection and played 22 games with the Wolves during the 2021-22 season as an affiliate player that spent time between the Wolves and Sudbury Cubs of the NOJHL.
The Sudbury Wolves would like to wish Josh the best of luck in his future hockey career.
The Sudbury Wolves will host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds tonight in their final home game of the pre-season at 7:05pm. They will then kick of the 50th anniversary season on Friday September 30th against the Barrie Colts. Game Time is also 7:05pm.
