2022 Wolves Orientation & Main Training Camp Details
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves will kick off their 50th anniversary season with the 2022 Training Camp this Monday, August 29th by welcoming 50 players to the Sudbury Community Arena.
Similar to last year, Orientation camp is set to start the week followed by the 48-hour Main camp. Orientation camp will run August 29th – 30th with 32 prospects attending including Wolves’ top picks from the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Nathan Villeneuve, Kieran Walton, Drew (Andrew) Gaulton, and Conor Walton.
Main camp will begin on August 31st and run until September 2nd where players will have the chance to earn their spot on the 2022-23 Wolves’ roster. Main camp participants will also include Dallas Stars prospect Jacob Holmes, Seattle Kraken prospect David Goyette, Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Nolan Collins and 2021 1st overall, Jack Ferguson Award recipient Quentin Musty. In addition, overage players Nick DeGrazia, and Dylan Robinson will look to leave their mark on the league along with newly acquired overage goaltender, Joe Ranger. Newly appointed Assistant Coaches, Gary Ricciardi and Rick Dorval will get their first chance to join Wolves Head Coach Craig Duncanson behind the bench.
The 32 rookies coming to camp include 4 goalies, 10 defencemen and 18 forwards. A full list of all players attending Orientation camp can be found at the bottom of this release. The Main camp roster will be released next week.
On-ice scrimmages are free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to come down and cheer on their Wolves.
