Seven Heaven
The Sudbury Wolves snapped-out of their offensive funk with 7 goals in the last two periods of the game Saturday night as the Wolves defeated the Niagara IceDogs 7-1.
CONNOR CRISP had an outstanding game with a goal and two assists and was named the game’s first star. NICK BAPTISTE returned to the Wolves’ line-up and was an offensive catalyst in scoring two goals and adding an assist. MATT SCHMALZ, MATHEW CAMPAGNA, DOMINIK KAHUN and NATHAN PANCEL scored singles. For Pancel, it was his 40th goal of the season.
The Wolves trailed 1-0 after the first period but stormed back with three unanswered goals in the second period to take a 3-1 lead into the final frame. The Wolves were 2 for 6 on the power play while the IceDogs were 1 for 5. The Wolves outshot the IceDogs 35-26 as Wolves’ 16 year old goaltender, TROY TIMPANO was very solid in goal in recording his 4th victory of the season.
