Wolves Return to the DEN for Exciting Doubleheader with NHL Legends
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves are back at the DEN next week for an action-packed doubleheader! Join us as we host the Soo Greyhounds on Wednesday, October 16th, and the Sarnia Sting on Friday, October 17th. Both games are set to start at 7:05 PM.
Wednesday kicks off with our first WEENIE Wednesday, featuring $2.99 +HST hotdogs available throughout the game—an affordable treat for midweek fans!
The Wolves are eager to maintain their momentum against the Greyhounds in what will be the second meeting of the regular season. This game is proudly sponsored by Your Independent Grocers.
On Friday, we’ll celebrate NHL Legends Night, sponsored by Belanger Ford Lincoln Centre, in support of Easter Seals Ontario. This season, the Sudbury Wolves have teamed up with the Sudbury Celebrity Hockey Classic to honour the legendary George Armstrong. Before the game, the Garson Arena will be renamed in tribute to the Hockey Hall of Famer and one of the first professional players of Indigenous descent from the Nickel Belt area.
The festivities continue with a ceremonial puck drop at the Wolves game, celebrating Armstrong’s legacy as a four-time Stanley Cup champion. The Wolves players will don special tribute warm-up jerseys signed by former Leafs captains Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clark, and Rick Vaive, all of whom will be in attendance. Fans can meet these hockey legends in the front lobby from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM and during the first intermission. The Armstrong jerseys will be auctioned off online in support of Easter Seals kids [HERE]. The online auction will go LIVE Thursday, October 17th at 5pm.
