Winger could do without the teasing
By Tony Saxon, Guelph Mercury – Guelph Storm winger Justin Auger will take the good-natured ribbing from teammates. But he wouldn’t mind putting an end to it.
Auger has gone 27 games this season without scoring a goal. The big winger has seen plenty of ice time, including some power-play action, but has yet to find the back of the net.
That comes with a price.
“They’re on me a bit,” he said of his teammates teasing. “It’s going to come. Hopefully, sooner or later. It will feel good when I get that first one.”
The Storm was preparing Thursday to wrap up the pre-Christmas portion of its schedule with a game in London today and a Saturday afternoon home game against Sault Ste. Marie.
