OHL Plays of the Week – Jan 1/17

The OHL Plays of the Week returns following the 2016-17 holiday break with the 14th countdown this season of the league’s top-5 highlights for the week ending January 1.

This week’s highlights feature five goals beginning with a behind-the-back pass from the Erie Otters’ Christian Girhiny to Allan McShane, followed by some offensive zone passing by the Ottawa 67’s finished by Sam Bitten, an overtime winner by Mathieu Henderson of the Flint Firebirds, Spencer Watson of the Mississauga Steelheads completes a give-and-go with teammate Nathan Bastian, and Ben Jones of the Niagara IceDogs with a fancy faceoff win to set up Johnny Corneil.
