The Guelph Storm could finally have a full complement of players for the first time in weeks when it hits the road for a pair of games this weekend.
The team’s three injured or sick players — goalies Brandon Foote and Jake Fischer and defenceman Evgeny Molotilov — could all be back in the lineup tomorrow when the Storm plays in Kitchener. They play in Sarnia Saturday.
All three practised yesterday at the Sleeman Centre.
Fischer hasn’t played since Jan. 4 after being hit with mononucleosis. A shoulder injury has kept Molotilov on the shelf since Jan. 7 and Foote missed last weekend’s games with a bruised collarbone.
“It’s been too long,” Fischer said about the layoff.
While he has pretty much recovered from the symptoms of mono, Fischer has had to wait for his enlarged spleen to shrink to a safe level. He’s hoping to play this weekend after having another ultrasound yesterday.
