Storm does it all but win
BRAMPTON
It’s really hard to find fault with the Guelph Storm for what happened in Brampton yesterday.
Outside of some bad luck and some borderline penalty calls, they probably deserved a better fate than the 5-4 overtime loss they left town with.
The Battalion’s Cody Hodgson ended it 1:20 in to overtime, rushing up ice and using Storm defenceman Nathan Martine as a partial screen as he fired a hard wrist shot that beat Thomas McCollum. It was Hodgson’s third goal of the game.
Saturday the Storm downed the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 3-1.
“We did everything we needed to do in that game but come away with the two points,” Storm coach Jason Brooks said of the loss at the Powerade Centre.
