Player of the Week
The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Tanner Richard is the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 13th.
Richard recorded seven points, two goals and five assists, in three games over the weekend. On Friday night against the Plymouth Whalers, the 18 year old was named third star of the game picking up a goal and two assists in the 8-4 loss. On a rare Saturday at the Sleeman Centre, Richard scored the third Storm goal of the night and added a helper in the 6-3 loss to the Sudbury Wolves. Visiting the Kitchener Auditorium on Sunday, Richard recorded two assists setting up Hunter Garlent for the first Storm goal of the game and then Andrey Pedan on the powerplay for the tying goal in the Storm’s 3-2 shootout loss.
Richard currently leads the Storm in assists with 19 and points with 25. In his last seven games, he has only been held off the scoresheet twice and has recorded 12 points, three goals and nine assists.
