Player of the Week
The Guelph Storm announced today that defenceman Andrey Pedan is the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 23rd.
Pedan recorded three points, two goals and one assist, in two games over the weekend. On Friday night against the Windsor Spitfires, the Moscow native scored the Storm’s third goal of the night and was named the Dickies Hardest Worker Player in a 4-1 victory. Sunday afternoon against the Soo Greyhounds, the 18 year old was the team’s leading scorer recording a goal and an assist in the 4-3 loss. He was also named the second star of the game.
Pedan currently sits eight in scoring among all Storm players and second in defencemen scoring, behind only Matt Finn, with six points.
Next up, the Storm hit the road for their first northern roadtrip of the 2011-12 season this weekend with stops in Sudbury on Friday night and a rematch against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Saturday. The next Storm home game is Friday, November 4th when the Erie Otters enter the Eye of the Storm.
