Perfect storm favours hundreds of Guelph fans
With their Storm in the finals on Sunday at 4 pm, thousands of Storm fans expected to make the short trip to London to cheer on their team in person or inside the Memorial Cup Beer Tent. Tickets are available at London Knights Ticket Marketplace.
By Tony Saxon, The Guelph Mercury – Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Storm fans are in London, from Police Chief Bryan Larkin to several former players, young families and longtime diehards who still remember 1986 when the last Guelph team won a Memorial Cup.
A perfect storm (pardon the pun) has made this a very special Memorial Cup for Guelph fans: definitely accessible and relatively affordable. Their team is in it, their team has a good chance to win it and the tournament is close enough to make it affordable to attend, be it the whole thing or on a game-to-game basis.
