Children at Edmonds Community School have something to be excited about, thanks to a new playground courtesy of the Canucks.
“The kids were just blown away,” said Edmonds principal David Starr.
The kids knew a new playground was coming, but it was a last-minute surprise that the Canucks were behind it, Starr explained.
Canucks players Manny Malhotra and Dan Hamhuis spearheaded the project, with help from their families, the Canucks for Kids Fund, the school district and Habitat Systems, a local playground supplier that donated some of the equipment.
