Luca joined the Storm coaching staff at the start of the 2015-16 season. The Toronto native, was selected in the second round of the 2004 OHL Priority Selection (37th Overall) by the Mississauga IceDogs. He recorded 205 points in 230 games played with the IceDogs organization, and was named to the 2007-08 OHL Second All-Star Team.

Drafted in the fourth round (111th Overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins , Luca played in the NHL with the Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs. He left the AHL in 2012-13 and played his final two seasons in Sweden’s first division.
