HyGrade Player of the Week
The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Scott Kosmachuk is the Hy-Grade Steel Roofing Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 14th.
Kosmachuk recorded five points, two goals and three assists in two Storm wins over the weekend. On Friday night against the Otters, the Toronto native was named the second star of the game scoring a highlight reel goal and adding an assist his club’s 6-3 win over Erie. Given third star honours on Sunday, the Winnipeg Jets’ prospect assisted on both of Zack Mitchell’s goals and added one of his own helping his team down the Petes 7-6 in overtime.
Kosmachuk currently leads the Storm in goals with 7 and overall points with 13. He has scored three power play goals to date and sits behind only Zack Mitchell for the team lead with four.
Next up, the Storm host the Sarnia Sting at the Sleeman Centre for a 7:30pm start before heading on the road for two visiting Saginaw on Saturday and Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday.
