Hockey Pool first-half winners

Final standings for the pre-Christmas segment of the Guelph Tribune’s OHL Hockey Pool have been calculated and our first-half winners have been determined.

There was a three-way tie for top spot in the pool among the 559 entries in this year’s pool.  The three entrants that led the pool at the Christmas break were Derrick Payne, Diane Scutcher and Tanya Stanlick with 547 points each.  After using the tiebreaker (goals scored), our co-winners of the first half prize were Diane Scutcher and Tanya Stanlick.  Their teams each combined for 203 goals compared to 197 by Payne’s team.

Congratulations to Diane and Tanya.  They have each won $50 in Buffalo Wild Wings gift cards as our pre-Christmas segment winners.
