Foote’s got his game back
By Tony Saxon, Guelph Mercury – It would appear that Brandon Foote is finding his groove at just the right time.
With just three games remaining in the regular season the Guelph Storm goaltender appears to have both his confidence and his game back.
He was brilliant Friday, backstopping the Storm to a 5-1 win over the London Knights at the Sleeman Centre in the team’s biggest game of the season.
“I’ve had a few good games in a row now and when you’re on a role the game comes easy,” said Foote, who made 31 saves on the night.
“The most important games are the ones at the end of the season, especially for a goaltender.”
The win moved the Storm into seventh place in the tight Western Conference standings, two points up on the Knights, who have a game in hand.
