Doughty named to Olympic squad
Hockey Canada announced the roster for Canada’s Men’s Olympic Hockey team this afternoon including former Storm blueliner Drew Doughty. The 23 man roster includes 3 goalies, 7 defenceman and 13 forwards.
Doughty becomes the third Storm alum to be named to his country’s Olympic team, joining defenceman Fedor Tyutin (Russia) and Herbert Vasiljevs (Latvia) who were both name over the last few days.
On January 1st, Hockey USA will release their roster during the NHL’s annual outdoor game. A trio of former Storm players are on the short list for the American squad including forwards Dustin Brown, Ryan Callahan and goaltender Craig Anderson.
