Chad Wiseman is entering his fourth season with the Guelph Storm and third season as Associate Coach. Prior to joining the Storm coaching staff, Wiseman spent two years as the Skill Development Coach with the New York Islanders and three years as the General Manager & Head Coach of the Metropolitan Riveters of the National Women’s Hockey League.
A former OHL forward himself, Wiseman began his playing career with the Mississauga IceDogs after being drafted 42nd overall in 1998. He played a total of 3 years in the OHL for the Mississauga IceDogs and the Plymouth Whalers and was named an OHL All-Star. In 2000, Wiseman was drafted into the NHL by the San Jose Sharks in the 8th round. He went on to play 14 years of professional hockey in North America and Europe. His professional playing career included over 600 AHL games played and being named an AHL All-Star.
Wiseman won the Isobel Cup with the Metropolitan Riveters in 2018 and an OHL Championship with the Guelph Storm in 2019. He was hired by Hockey Canada as an Assistant Coach for the Under-17 National Program in 2019 and has held the role of Technical Director for the Guelph Minor Hockey Association for the last four years.
