Beck’s Biltmore Hat trick
Friday night during the first intermission of the Storm’s 8-1 win over the Owen Sound Attack, foward Taylor Beck was honoured with a Biltmore hat for his hat trick against the Kitchener Rangers on November 28th.
Nearly sixty years after the first Biltmore hat was presented to a junior hockey player from the storied Guelph Biltmore Mad Hatters franchise, the Guelph Storm and Guelph’s Biltmore Hats returned the ‘Hat Trick’ tradition to junior hockey in the Royal City.
Presented on behalf of Guelph’s Biltmore Hats Company, Storm Trackers President Annette Montgomery awarded Taylor with his first hat of the year for recording a goal in each of the three periods when the Storm defeated the Rangers 7-4.
