Tracking the Storm – Taylor Beck
The St. Catharines, Ont., native, Taylor Beck, was drafted by the Storm in the 2nd round 31st overall in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. Taylor spent 3-seasons with the Storm where he appeared in 190-games, notching 103-goals and 143-assists. In his final season with the Storm Taylor was named to the leadership group as an assistant captain. Taylor has several achievements from his time with the Storm including playing in the 2008/2009 CHL Top Prospects Game and the 2009/2010 OHL All-Star Game. In the 2009/2010 season he was awarded the OHL Top Scorer Award (Jim Mahon Trophy), the Tony Camilleri Memorial “Playmaker Trophy”, the Guelph Storm Fan Club Award, and the Glad Mowatt MVP award. Taylor was selected by the Nashville Predators round 3, 70th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Following his time with the Storm, Taylor spent time in both the AHL and NHL. He spent the end of the 2010/2011 and all of the 2011/2012 season with the Milwaukee Admirals before being called up to play for the Nashville Predators. Taylor currently plays with the Dinamo Minsk which is part of the Kontinental Hockey League.
